Islands of Adventure is the other park at Universal Studios. I spent two days there, the second day it was just Dad and I, while Chris and Mom did Legoland. But the first day was all four of us. This is the park with the Harry Potter area. Before we left for the trip we watched all the Harry Potter movie so that we could understand the whole area. Because when all the movies came out we never watched them. My Parents never wanted us to watch them. So it was lots of fun to watch all the movies in a couple of weeks instead of years :)
Anyway we went to the Harry Potter section first because we knew that it would be busy later in the day. You walk into the Harry Potter section and there is the Hogwarts Express and you walk through Hogsbeade (I think that is what it is called) and then you see it, Hogwarts Castle. It was wholly awesome!!!!!! Inside is the main Harry Potter Ride. And let me tell you it was THE BEST ride in all of Universal Studios! I could have gone on that ride over and over and over again. how it was set up and how it was done it was like no other ride. I was set up like you were flying on a broomstick with Harry Potter and the gang. I do not want to get into anymore detail or this could be a very long blog.
The other cool ride was the Dragon Challenge ride. It was a suspended ride which took you through flips and turns and epicness! Yes Mom and Chris sat with the stuff while Dad and I went and did it. what was cool about it was that you could pick either the blue dragon ride or the red one and the difference really was that they were mirror images of each other but for some reason dad and I later found out that the red one seemed a lot more intense (thus we liked it better).
One cool thing is that we got Beer Butter!!! it was amazing(it is non alcoholic, it is ok I thought it was at first too) !! I will describe it as Cream Soda with a creamy buttery taste to it and the foam on top tasted like ice cream but with a butterscotch/vanilla cookie taste. What I liked about it though it wasn’t to sweet…… just right! When Dad and I went the second day we got our own !
